In just 30 seconds

You can connect someone dealing with homelessness with a service that can help them. Your contribution tells the community you won’t just walk past and do nothing.

Words from Government

Gareth Ward, Kiama MP and NSW Minister for Families, Communities and Disability Services was kind enough to share some thoughts about the Mend app and its potential impact in our communities. Have a listen.

How it works

You can continue on with your day knowing you have made a difference in someone’s life by caring, sharing your time by connecting them with someone who can help.

We do not recommend approaching the person you want to help.

Mend is designed to automate the process of connecting those in our community with someone who can help them

OUR GOOD COMPANY

Our Partner Organisations

Our ambitious aim can’t be achieved without the help of the organisations we partner with.

Mend has an important mission

We use technology and community to reduce homelessness, and eventually end homelessness in NSW.

Our vision is that by using an intuitive app, the public has an opportunity to help those who are homeless in their community,

by taking action and creating a report instead of simply walking by.
Our app will then send a report to local services with a request to check on this individual, and ensure they are receiving the care they need, while also analysing in real time a more accurate picture of what is happening for rough sleepers and couch surfers in NSW.

The Mend vision is realised through our app – giving the community the opportunity to help those who are homeless by taking action instead of simply walking by.

Through the creation of a case, our app sends a report to local services with a request to provide care while also analysing in real time a more accurate picture of what is happening for those who are homeless and in threat of being homeless.
Please note only certain outreach services and areas of NSW are currently covered, and it is our intention to continue to roll out into different areas. The areas covered will be listed on our site.
